CEFEM Technologies : already 20 years … and much energy to give.
Founded in 1987 by Georges Fangier, the company CEFEM, which produces chokes, transformers and high performance switch-disconnectors, is still strongly loacted in Ardèche, but, today, exports more than 50% of its production and distributes its components and systems in more than 20 countries.
As an Expert in magnetics, and historicaly oriented towards production of transformers, CEFEM took over their "visible cut off switches" range of products to powerful group FERRAZ in 1999, spreading its offer and taking a new industrial dimension.
After the acquisition in 2005 of a company based near Grenoble (ASB) and the setting of a production unit in Romania, strategicaly located to respond to the needs of widened Europe, CEFEM really reache a group dimension, whose shareholding remains within the family.
Besides Georges and Nadine Fangier, the team increased, in a first step with Jerome and Lionel Fangier (ingeneers in charge of Research & Development and marketing-sales), Virginie Fangier (purchasing), as well as new managers, technicians and highly qualified salespeople, who joined a staff around 90 and an average of 35 years old which is a key factor of the ambient dynamism.

The activity "chokes and transformers" today provides components and systems which are parts of complex electrical equipments, and will progressively integrate more and more "power electronics", capable to modulate energy for new generation's applications. CEFEM group leads its researchs towards energy's quality, renewable energies, production of decentralised energy, movable energy and transports…
The activity "industrial switches and safety enclosures", traditionaly turned towards heavy industry (steel work, cement…) today looks towards environment environnement and railway applications and in a larger scope, towards all sectors where safety of people and machines is a major stake.
High expectations and customer care are the core assets of CEFEM group
CEFEM Technologies integrated thermal constraints as well as quality and safety procedure that allow them to be present on big markets. But the company has been able to overcome standards in order to guarantee a total traceability to its customers - from raw material to finished products.
And the group remains ahead when it comes to fulfill basic requirements by anticipating customers'needs, optimise product'design and development, test a prototype or design, as a real industrial partner, a new component or system.

20 years of rising success for a company with
strong values
1986 Foundation of the company by Georges Fangier who manufactures transformers for an industrial group.
1986-1995 The company is developing and counts about 10 employees.
1995-1996 Construction and design of new buildings, the company rises to 30 employees.
1999 External increase by taking over the activity "industrial switches" to company FERRAZ and new building extension.
1999-2000 Creation of Research & Development department for "chokes and transformers" activity, creation of purchasing department, création of sales department.
2005 New development phase with take over of ASB (Atelier Spécial de Bobinage) company in the department of Isère, and et creation of a subsidiary company with the development of a production unit in Romania.
2005-2006 Consolidation of both activities and services and new recruiting phase.
2007 New building extension with creation of Research & Development department and creation of a laboratory for trials. Increase of sales action and sales force.
